In this blog, we’re taking a step behind the build to learn more about some of our team and allow you to get to know them a little bit better. Keep reading to find out who’s who at SECON Constructions.
Peter Considine – Director
Peter is our trusted founder and director. Peter started the business with his late father Terry, a dextrous businessman, back in 2014. While Terry passed away suddenly in the same year, Peter and his family were determined to honour his father’s dream.
Peter is passionate about quality craftsmanship and renovating and preserving heritage homes. It gives him great pride to restore a part of history and give a beautiful, old home new life by bringing it into the 21st century. As a small business owner, Peter juggles various roles at SECON, with his day to day largely focused on ensuring all site supervisors have what they need to deliver projects on time and within the client’s budget.
For Peter, there is nothing more rewarding than handing over a completed project and watching a clients’ reaction to their new home. This was certainly the case at our recent Cheltenham heritage renovation project, where a completely dilapidated home has been transformed into the best-looking house on the street!
Roxanne Bliesner – Office Manager
Roxanne is SECON’s talented office manager. She has been an integral part of the SECON team for over five years and her role focuses on supporting staff members, overseeing selections and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed before construction commences. She also communicates with utility services, council, clients, suppliers, and tradespeople on a daily basis.
Roxanne loves working alongside clients and watching as their dreams become a reality. If she could have any heritage feature in her home, it would be a beautifully restored ceiling rose and fireplace mantle.
Josh Northcott – Estimator and Contracts Administrator
Josh is our expert Estimator and Contracts Administrator. He has been part of the business for a little over a year now and has shown himself to be an invaluable member of the SECON crew. Josh is responsible for ensuring site supervisors have everything they need for their immediate tasks, while also addressing client queries and organising new project estimates.
Josh was aware of SECON’s reputation for creating remarkable architectural homes, which was a key draw to the role of Estimator and Contracts Administrator. His favourite part of the building process is handover – when he’s able to see clients fall in love with their new homes.
Josh is passionate about working on projects with interesting details and inclusions, where the client hasn’t shied away from making bold and brave choices. If he could have any heritage feature in his home, it would be intricate ceiling coffering or a dome – maybe even an oracle!
