Introducing the Modern Monochromatic Façade

This sleek modern family home exudes a contemporary charm, yet is elegant in its simplicity. This home borrows the best elements of Australia’s most beloved home styles, combining the elegance of a breezy Hamptons-style home with the stylish, clean lines seen in a modern monochromatic façade. 

We collaborated with architects Creative Living Innovations on this project to ensure that this sophisticated, two-storey home in Cheltenham had all the modern, luxurious comforts one would expect in such a beautiful home, making use of high-quality materials that last a lifetime.  

The impressive exterior features premium weatherboard cladding contrasted with sleek dark Colourbond metal roofing and boutique aluminium windows and doors. Inside, we installed premium European oak timber floorboards throughout the living and dining areas, as well as a pine-lined feature wall to surround a Rinnai gas fireplace in the living area.

The daybed area and first-floor rumpus feature pine lining walls. We installed under-tile heating in the ensuite for maximum comfort, as well as woodgrain joinery in the bathrooms. This mixed-materials look provides a show stopping juxtaposition against glossy navy tiles, softened by a luxurious lighting concept.

The home also features Reece tapware in chrome throughout, and the kitchen and bathrooms feature hard-wearing Caesarstone benchtops. The main bathroom features an elegant freestanding tub for the ultimate in comfort and relaxation.

The clients who enlisted us for this project only had a short lease, so our team worked to a very tight timeline. This project was completed in just five months, during which SECON had to work to restrictions implemented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to these restrictions, there were limitations on the number of builders permitted on-site, which created challenges throughout the build. Still, our talented team took this all in their stride and delivered ahead of schedule. The result? An exceptional home with a polished, effortless appeal that delighted our clients.
